The Hoplite Challenge is a verb conjugation game designed for Ancient Greek learners. Inspired by the annual Hoplite Challenge Cup, a tradition at the Latin/Greek Institute's Basic Program in Greek, this game offers an educational yet engaging experience.

Students in the institute's course, after just six weeks of study, engage in friendly competition with faculty members to showcase their ability to swiftly and accurately produce Ancient Greek verb forms. While the app may not fully capture the spirit and intensity of the live contest, it aims to provide users with an entertaining and stimulating practice environment.

Aligned with the structure of the textbook 'Greek: An Intensive Course' by Hansen & Quinn, this app covers the 114 verbs introduced in the book, offering over 15,800 possible verb forms for users to tackle. The game presents players with a single verb form and challenges them to convert it to another within a 30-second time frame.

This app is suited for learners with a solid grasp of Ancient Greek verbs, focusing on refining and reinforcing their conjugation skills.
